The Baldrige Performance Excellence Program (BPEP) has been adopted by the health care industry as a de facto standard for high performing health care organizations. The Baldrige Framework includes seven categories:

This framework provides the strategic focus for high performing organizations, and results have shown that striving to adopt the principles embodied in the framework has created the impetus for those organizations that seek to achieve world class performance.
